      Hei,

I have a PAL Atari Jaguar connected directly to OSSC using a good quality RGC UK SCART cable (sync over composite video)

***I am well aware that OSSC has issues with PAL Jags. My objective with this post is to figure out what exactly is the issue.***

The first time I turn on OSSC and the console, OSSC seems to have trouble syncing to 50Hz (the numbers on the small LCD display keep changing).

However, after power cycling the console 2+ times then OSSC eventually locks on 50Hz and works flawlessly.

I have been wondering if any of you might have an idea of what is going on and if this is something that could be fixed through a FW update. I am also aware that one possible solution is to connect another source to AV3, but currently this is not an option for me. Also, I am not interested on doing the 50/60Hz mod on this Jag unit.

I have tested all sorts of combinations in the Sync Settings and so far no luck.

Btw, OSSC is updated to the latest fw (v0.88).

      Thanks!

It’s due to a bug in TVP7002 I believe so can’t actually be fully fixed in firmware.

Thanks for the reply. Do you know if there is any technical description of the bug? It would be an interesting reading.

Does the 60Hz mod solve the issue? Btw, is it worth testing other cables or should I just give up?
