Hi, so my setup is a bit odd but here goes:
I have a mister FPGA that I don’t want to use the in-built scan doubling so I’m splitting the signal coming out of it and routing one leg into my OSSC and one into my CRT TV. The mister is outputting YPrPb component on this output. So out of the OSSC I’m using a tendak hdmi=>vga into my monitor. This works great with just the monitor plugged into one leg of the VGA splitter and I get the output I expect. Similarly the component output from the mister makes it to my CRT TV no problem when just that leg is plugged in. However, when both the TV and the OSSC are plugged into the VGA splitter, the OSSC loses sync. (the TV still works) This is just a cheap passive VGA splitter so I figure it doesn’t know or care about the signals so it shouldn’t matter its pushing YPrPb to a TV & OSSC rather than a more typical RGB signal carried on VGA but that could be my ignorance. Any thoughts? The VGA splitter is this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MLM39CD/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and the HDMI to VGA is: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01B7CEOVK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Hmm, why component, why not RGB, because of your TV I’m guessing?

If you need dual output from the Mister you could simply get the MiSTer IO Board.

Yeah trying to do hdmi + component tv + component to OSSC -> VGA simultaneously. I’m guessing the splitter drops the signal down too much and OSSC doesn’t like that but will confirm today

Just following up on this: I switched from the passive splitter to a Radio Shack 1 in 4 out component video distribution amplifier -15-311 and it works. Guessing the passive splitter dropped the signal down too much. Thanks!
