      Hello VGP Community,

i have an issue with my OSSC 1.6, modded to work with newer firmwares, using Firmware 1.11a.

When using the component input AV2, with my C64 with Lumacode, and inputting Audio over the AV2 3,5mm jack, i get no audio over the HDMI output. I already tried different Linex modes, and played around with a lot of settings to no avail. What’s strange is, that when using my addon board with the s-video output of my C64, which is then connect via scart to AV1 on the OSSC, there is audio output over HDMI. As far as i know, the AV1 audio jack can work as output for AV1 or input for AV2, dependent on that little switch on the pcb.

If anyone had some advice what else to try, i would be very grateful.

      Thanks in advance.

If you’ve tried the switch in both positions that’s usually what people get wrong. Have you verified the audio cable works by connecting direct to some speakers or similar?

Thanks for your reply. Yes, the audio cable is working. The strange thing is, when using AV1 input for video, i can use the AV2 audio jack as input for AV1, and there is audio output over HDMI. When i switcht to AV2 video input, the audio over the AV2 input jack stops working, no more audio on the HDMI output.

As mentioned, you should check the switch position. In the other (incorrect in your case) position AV1 audio and 3.5mm are physically connected together which also means you hear audio from the 3.5mm jack in AV1 mode as you reported.

Hello marqs. Thanks for your reply. I checked the switch again, this time i looked very accurately and managed to solve the problem. The problem was, that the audio jacks on the add-on board, that is mounted under the ossc board, blocked the switch in its way. So the switch couldn’t completely make its way to the outer position. i then rasped away a bit of the plastic from the audio jack, and now the switch works perfectly.
