I would like to be able to use the scaler to correct overscan on an HD CRT by using the Scaler opt. < ADV. Timings < Size/crop (which isn’t flexible enough) instead only really being able use Output opt. < ADV. Disp Timings as the the geometry isn’t exactly perfect on the edges of my HD CRT and the blank backporch displays as a bright gray not black which is annoying

to correct for overscan on my HD CRT I need to display a 1708x960i window in 1080i and when I set 1708 H Size and 960 V size in Scaler opt. < ADV. Timings < Size/crop it make the overscan worse but if I set 2048 H Size and 1088 V (as far as it will go) the overscan gets a bit better…

Would it be possible in a future frimware to prescale the image before outputting?

      Thanks in advance

How have you it connected to the TV? Backporch should not be any different to black, at least if hooked via analog connection.
