Hey im having this problem with the Gamecube GBI OSSC pro preset when using HDMI input. When I try to use line3x 360p on adaptive line multiplier mode, the image is way too skinny, almost like 2 pixels aren’t being scaled wide on the horizontal axis. I’m using a 1080p display and pure line multiplier doesn’t work in 3x at all it says out of range. I’ve dug through all the settings I could but I cant find anything to fix it. I don’t know if this is some kind of bug with the preset but it’ll be really nice if this mode would work as its my favorite way to play GBA games. Line2x mode does work perfectly fine in both LM modes though and that’s what it defaults to.

Here’s a picture of what it looks like on my screen and I also tested it on another monitor and it does the same thing

First of all, the console-specific sampling presets are just for analog inputs. I wonder which kind of timing the HDMI interface (GCVideo?) is sending in that mode. Perhaps you can take a picture of the information screen (i+ button on remote). Change also border color to something else than black (from post-proc) to distinguish between black borders embedded in the input signal and others placed by processing.

Okay I took a picture of the info screen and the border is set to blue. Yes it is GC Video v3.1, I hope this helps.  Also thanks for the fast response!

The problem is the input resolution of 960×360 which LM modes can only multiply to 1920×1080 or 960×1080 (as above) active area, both resulting to bad aspect ratio. Ideally GCVideo could set pixel repetition metadata for the mode to show as 480×360 instead, but you can force this on Pro by setting “AV4 video in opt. -> Pixel de-repetition” from Auto to 2x. Just make sure to restore auto setting for any other source (perhaps you can dedicate one profile to GBI).
