on ossc classic 480p line 2x , ps2 gsm 480p hdtv mode.i can get a full screen picture via TV full screen scale mode wtih samplerate 858,and h.active 640,v.active 448.

but on ossc pro, adaptive muti-mode,I use the same setting ,line 3x,I can not get the full screen picture.there is always border on the top and buttom.I have tried dtv 480p 4:3 and 16:9,both mode can not be scaled by tv into full screen.there is nothing happen.

      may somebody have the answer?

by the way . please add auto switch input source ,ossc classic has this option but ossc pro not.this is very import for ps2 rgsb and rgbs input.

I think the problem is that with A-LM the signal is inserted into an output with an active area corresponding to the basic input mode and timings closer to what displays typically accept; 1440p in the case of 480p input with Line 3x applied. Since it can only perform line repetition, with the input sampling set to 448 active lines you get 1344 lines padded to 1440 active lines in the output. A-LM probably doesn’t adjust the active area indicated in the output.

Scaler mode solves the problem at the cost of about a frame of delay. If you set the DFP mode to 1920×1440 and adjust the active sampling preset to 448 active lines, the picture will fill the height of the screen. With GS Sharp scaling you’ll get a picture almost as sharp as with pure integer scaling. You’ll also still get the benefit of horizontal oversampling of the input signal.

Yes, the idea of the adaptive LM mode is to map integer multiplied version of sampled input into a standard frame (1920×1440 or 2560×1440 in this case). However, you can adjust output size from “output opt -> adv. display timing” and set v.active to 1344 (=3*448) for the selected 1440p mode. Just keep in mind that is then also applies e.g. to 240p Line6x.

yeah, setting the output opt -> adv. display timing” and set v.active to 1344 (=3*448) for the selected 1440p mode.

this is do useful and resovle my problem.

            thanks marqs
