I’ve recently modded my NES with Lumacode, and the built in support for that in the OSSC is great.
But I noticed one remaining issue with playing the NES on the OSSC Pro, that the audio output from the NES is mono, so it just plugs into one of the 2 composite audio inputs, and I only get audio out of one speaker.
I noticed other posts suggesting to set audio mode to mono in the audio settings, but I see no such settings on the OSSC Pro. The wiki page for the OSSC does list a mono audio option under audio settings (with audio firmware), but on the OSSC Pro’s wiki page, there’s no mention of mono.
I couldn’t find any way to set mono audio (as in, with a mono audio source, output it to both left and right channels). Is there any option for this on the OSSC Pro that I’ve missed? If not, could the same setting from the original OSSC be implemented on the Pro?
Presumably I could find some sort of adapter to either split the composite audio or convert to 3.5mm (though I feel like the latter might have the same issue), but having it built into the software would be a nicer solution.
You can use a mono-to-stereo coupling, to force the single mono channel to seperate/spread into 2 stereo channels… Search in amazon or others for “coupling stereo to mono jack”!

It’s just not currently included in the chip driver but the function could be copied from Classic since they use almost the same chip.
