Forgive me if this has been brought up previously somewhere, but I have a question. For those of us who already own an OSSC 1.6 and are looking to upgrade to a Pro, would it be possible to get a discount on the Pro model if we provide proof of purchase through the site? Perhaps the difference between what we paid and how ever much extra the Pro model costs? The Full Frame Buffer and Adaptive Line Multiplication both sound tempting – I always hated the way linedoubling looks on interlaced content and using the ALM to get a 1080p signal out of the OSSC would eliminate my need to run it through a secondary scaler. But I’m rather late to the OSSC party. Mine was purchased last year. Please don’t think me rude, but considering what I paid for the original OSSC it’s a little hard to justify shelling out more money for a new version just for the convenience of hooking the device to my TV and Elgato without any need for a secondary scaler to normalize the video output.

So would Pro upgrade discounts be offered?

No plans for that currently I’m afraid. The classic is still going to be a great solution and more affordable so you could always sell it on the second hand market.

On another forum Marqs has said not likely this year due to delays. Hopefully early next year, with this year being testing and development.

I’d love to be told this is no longer the case and it’s coming soon though!

Given what a roller coaster 2020 has been and continues to be I think a launch this year would be very unlikely.

We’ve not even got all the site improvements done I thought we would have by now (not that you care about any of that of course 😀 )
