@BuckoA51 No problem, it happens just glad we caught it 🙂 Just hope it doesn’t set you back and that there was only a few wrong chips.

Most of the batch was actually destroyed in the post when it came in from the supplier, I’ve got a small number of the wrong chips I’ve now removed from stock but it could be a few weeks before the replacements arrive. If people want a partial refund instead I can sort that too.

@BuckoA51 Ah :/ well sucks that it will take some time but only way to get them faster would be from mouser that has them in stock but since I wouldn’t order anything else from them each chip would be about $50 (with shipping and tax) which is a bit hefty since I just ordered a USB blaster from them before we realized it was the wrong chip to trouble shoot it.
You have no idea of a time frame for you getting the them again?

I just went the partial refund & order myself from mouser route.
Let’s hope the PCB survives the unsolder & resolder process. Mine did already lose some of the solder resistant coating due to excessive resoldering and cleaning.
If this thing breaks I am giving up…

@zugspitzjockl yeah thinking about going that way as well but yeah I’ve redone more or less the entire board 2 times so it’s an issue, really to make it worthwhile to order from mouser I might as well get the parts for the audio board but if it FUBAR in total that’s almost $300 dollars down the drain and as a student that really a big chunk of my economy :/

Great success! removed the CE10 chip and put in a CE15, flashed the latest firmware and now it works as it should without any issues (more than normal).

Just waiting for the sound PCB from OSHpark and this build is done! =D

I also removed the CE10 today, cleaned the board and resoldered the CE15.

Booted right up, Display showed FW Version etc. Did not have the time for further testing or hooking it up to my n64/snes.

                        BuckoA51,

I bought the DIY V1.5 kit and just double checked (my board also doesn’t work), I got the CE10 as well. What’s the process for sending me out the CE15?

Wow that was some time ago now! Okay, e-mail in using the contact form and state your order number and I’ll sort it.
