I got my ossc two weeks ago and have entcountered the problem last week and today again. When playing ps1 games with dynamic resolution such as Silent Hill (PAL) or GT1 (PAL) the ossc is not able to switch to the correct resolution and just switches back and forth. The only way to fix it is to power off and on the ossc. This problem happens not always. Sometimes it works without any problem and today it happens again 🙁 Another similar problem is when GT1 loads main menu which has a higher resolution and the ossc loses completely the signal so I get a black screen.
Any idea how to fix it? Perhaps I got a buggy unit?

edit: After watching the video closely it looks like it switches between “no signal” and the expected resolution.

Here is a video from me to make clear what I mean:

Does it happen with other consoles? Which RGB cable are you using? Are you using a ps1 or ps2 to play the ps1 games?

I am using PS1 PAL grey via original Sony PS1 RGB cable. So far it happened only with PS1 but its hard to tell if the source of the problem is the console or ossc because it happens randomly when playing games with dynamic resolutions.

Which line multiplication mode are you using for 240p?

I’ll see if I can find some PAL software and replicate this setup myself at some point.
