      Hi everyone, I recently bought an OSSC to use with my Wii and play Virtual Console games. I have no issue with 576i or 480p content but when I boot a SNES or a Genesis game, the pixels don’t look quite right, especially the text, which is a bit squished.

      I tried to tune optim modes with the 240p test suite but there are still a few wobbly pixels here and there. Plus the top and bottom of the screen are cropped, but I can live with that. I’m using 256×240 optim mode for snes games.

      I’m using a Pal Wii with official component cables, and the OSSC is hooked up to my LG OLED 55B8. I joined 2 pictures of the result on my TV, see how the text is squished and how pixels are generally uneven.

        Use generic mode instead. You cannot use the optimized modes for VC games (at least not for 256×224 games) because the graphics are prescaled to the Wiis more standardized output. Granted, I have only confirmed this for 60Hz VC games (e.g Wonder Boy in Monster Land for Genesis) because I have softmodded my PAL Wii and prefer to use the NTSC versions, but I presume this holds for the 50hz counterparts as well.

        Still, I find it weird you get blur on the vertical axis. I never saw this on my display. What line multiplication mode are you using?
