      Hi guys,

      I’m currently gathering parts to build my own OSSC but I’m facing a problem sourcing a few of them which I first thought it would be the easiest to find.

      Here is the list of parts I wasn’t able to source without having to order minimum 100s (which can sometime be really expensive when you only need 1 or 2) :
      – Diode Diodes Incorporated SD05-7
      – Transistor NEXPERIA BC847C.215
      – SMD Capacitor 0603 2 22 pf GRM1885C1H220JA01D
      – SMD Capacitor 0603 2 30 pf GRM1885C1H300FA01D
      – SMD Capacitor 0603 4 10 nf VJ0603Y102KXACW1BC
      – SMD Capacitor 0603 1 4.7 nf VJ0603Y472KXBPW1BC
      – SMD Capacitor 0603 6 10 nf VJ0603Y103KXACW1BC
      – SMD Capacitor 0603 64 0.1 uf VJ0603Y104JXJPW1BC
      – SMD Capacitor 0603 26 1 uf GRM188R61C105KA93D
      – SMD Capacitor 0603 2 2.2 uf GCM188R70J225KE22D
      – SMD Capacitor 0805 3 47 uf GRM21BR60J476ME15L
      – and of course the infamous IRM-V5XX_TR1

      Could you help me source those parts or alternative ones ?

        Have u tried importing the shopping basket to mouser from the GitHub .xml? Remember u don’t need the exact same product code, as long as the ratings match (resistors/caps). Most of those items should be available on mouser. The IR receiver dose seem to be causing a lot of people issues. There’s a guy on this forum in another thread who might have a few left.

          So I spent 2 hours trying to find alternative parts and got most of them except those two :
          – SMD Capacitor 0603 64 0.1 uf VJ0603Y104JXJPW1BC
          – SMD Capacitor 0603 26 1 uf GRM188R61C105KA93D

          I tried mouser, digikey and farnell and neither of them had those in stock.
          I don’t know what to do to source those.

            Since the OSSC works with 5V DC: capacitors with every DC voltage rating above 5V should be suitable. But i’m not so sure about the tolerance. I’ve had no problems with 10%… but there may be problems with 20%. So those substitutes should work:

            – C0603JB1C104K030BC (as a replacement for VJ0603Y104JXJPW1B)
            – GRM188R60J105KA01D (as a replacement for GRM188R61C105KA93D)

              I finally found alternative for those caps through ebay. Thanks for your help.
              I also got the IR receiver through aliexpress (had to buy 10 though)

                You can safely replace the IRM-V5XX_TR1 with a TSOP31338. I tried it and it works well. The pinout is different, so, make sure to read the datasheet.
