Hey all. Just seeing if anybody has any ideas on how I can deal with this issue, so here’s my setup and issue so far.

Game Consoles -> SCART -> OSSC -> HDMI -> Tendak HDMI to VGA Adapter -> PC CRT Monitor

The same exact thing happens on 3 different PC CRT monitors. The picture displays very nicely, but fairly often the picture will momentarily lose focus and then quickly reestablish itself while making a popping noise. It happens on all the gaming consoles going through the OSSC however when using a monitor on my PC the problem is ‘almost’ entirely gone. It still barely loses sync/focus sometimes but it’s very seldom and when it does happen the effect is barely noticeable comparatively.

My question is: Are there any settings in the OSSC I should be attempting to configure that could maybe help make things a little smoother like when using the monitor on PC?

I’m happy to just go through all the OSSC settings and experiment for changes and improvements, however I’m unsure, can I damage anything with the wrong settings? Like, are there any settings that should be used very cautiously?

      Any help is appreciated.

      Thanks!

I use the Portta HDMI-to-VGA converter and haven’t had any problems: https://amzn.to/2yal4Ks. I’ve suggested it to others who have also not had problems using it with multiple PC CRT monitors. Maybe it’s your converter?

Hey Starman. Thanks for the reply 🙂

I think it’s something that’s definitely worth looking into. It did come highly recommended however could be faulty or something. I’m all for exploring options. I appreciate the suggestion and will check that out as well.

          Thank you! 😀
