      Hey Folks,

      Been testing out my DIY unit but I haven’t been able to get a number of consoles working via SCART (RGB Component works fine)
      Here is a diagram of my PS1/2 scart cable.

      PS1/2 Scart

      Looks like linking didn’t work, URL for image is;

      It detects but doesn’t output anything, any suggestions?

      Thanks

        What do the numbers say on the OSSCs LCD?

          Sorry for the delay,
          The SYNC LED on the OSSC turns on too. 🙁
          The Display read the following and changed from time to time;

          AV1 : RGsB 0i
          15.70kHz 60.00Hz

          then sometimes it would read;

          AV1 : RGsB 1335i
          15.70kHz 60.00Hz

          and

          AV1 : RGsB 275p
          15.70kHz 60.00Hz

          and it did flick between

          AV1 : RGsB 562i
          15.70kHz 60.00Hz
          and NO SYNC

          Sounds works I can hear the PSX boot with no disc in it.
          Also the Wii works through the Component.

          any ideas?

          TIA

            Thats the wrong input. You have to use AV1 RGBS.

              Oh! RGBS comes up with NO SYNC :/
              I left it at the office so will have to try again in the morning.

                RGBS with “no sync” probably means that the sync line is either shorted to ground, missing termination (check R3), or disconnected from respective TVP7002 input pin (check C13).

                  So double checked the pins on U1, looks like some were slightly shorted. Lesson learnt, don’t be too generous with the solder paste if you choose to cook it in the oven.

                  Thanks heaps for your help everyone (especially marqs). I will take it home and test over the weekend with the other consoles.
                  One other thing I have noticed with the PS1 is that the image is to the right of the screen and thus slightly cut off on the right. Will keep playing

                    Ignore that, silly TV, change aspect and it looks good! 🙂
