I’ve been using 0.81 for a while as I’ve been using my PS1 with only ntsc games. My 50hz NeoGeo worked fine with 0.81 but after having it modded to 60hz (reported as 59.18 by ossc) I now get no picture on my panny GT50.
I have reverted to 0.76 and when I set 240p V Active up to 256 and higher I start to get a picture. V backporch needs to be about 12 to stop the top of the picture being cut off.
Still no idea why these settings ‘tweaks’ seem to stop working in newer firmwares than 0.76?
Anyone else having similar issues with Panasonic plasmas? I don’t really want to be stuck on 0.76 forever! 😮
Hi Marqs,
Did you ever get chance to have a look at providing a compatibility mode for those of us stuck on fw 0.76?
“For some reason those reported displays seem to accept 628-line signal if sync/enable signal is formatted somewhat incorrectly (as can be done with the posted settings on 0.76). I’d need check resulting timings and then perhaps provide a compatiblity option to enable such deranged sync on later fw.”
