      Hi,
can someone tell me what the following could mean and what are the differences between these cases please?

      1. Image dropout but the led on the OSSC remains green throuout the dropout.
      2. Image dropout but the led on the OSSC turns red throuout the dropout for a second and then turns green and the picture comes back.
      3. Image dropout but the led on the OSSC turns yellow/orange throuout the dropout and then it comes back to normal.

I tried searching on the net but there are no clear explanations I could find and what each one could mean or differ from the other.

This is documented on the Wiki – https://junkerhq.net/xrgb/index.php/OSSC#Status_LEDs

1 Would indicate a problem with the display as OSSC maintains sync itself.
2 Means unstable sync from the source
3 I’ve not seen it go yellow/orange are you sure?

I saw a video on youtube where the light turned yellow/orange. Maybe it was a build that had a yellow intead of red led.

Question…. is it possible that a loss of sync (even rare) could happen due to a long but well built and good quality rgb cable?

I have a white pce that rarely loses sync just for a moment and the cable I use (built by me) is 3 to 4 meters. Could that be the cause?

The white has a very limited space so I placed my rgb amp (that I also build myself) onto the crystal (oscillator). Could that be the cause? I use the exact same amp (4 channel) on a duo and a duo-r and I never experience dropouts with these, the amp is placed on the big chip though, the place that is suggested from most.

The lights may look orange when both LEDs are lit. Long cable should not be an issue if the sync line is shielded.
