      Hey guys,

      I would like to start recording gameplay with my OSSC with Line 3x mode with the retro consoles, but have done a lot of searching and can’t seem to find a solid “This works!” yet. Why Line 3x? Well, it’s the nicest picture on my TV and I want to actually play the games and enjoy them as well as record the gameplay!

      I am looking to be recording pretty much all consoles from 8 bit to today, so one that can capture 1080p 60fps and can capture OSSC via HDMI without issue.

      RGB/Scart: NES, SNES, Genesis, N64, PlayStation, Saturn
      Component: PS2, Wii, PSP
      HDMI: PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Switch etc.

      Compatibility: Mac is preferred, but PC is fine too as I have both. I would prefer an external solution, but again is PCI is my only option, I can go that route. Pretty flexible in that regard.

      Budget: Hopefully something $300 or less is preferred. I don’t need to “stream” necessarily, but if it can, that’s great; my main concern just is to record raw footage at good quality.

        Startech USB3HDCap is what I use.

        Works on line x3 for SNES, N64, Playstation
        Passthrough on PS2, Wii
        And HDMI sources like PS4, PS3, Switch.

        I haven’t tested it with the other consoles you listed, but I’m sure it will work.

        – I use it with OBS on the PC. Not sure if it’s for Mac aswell as I haven’t checked.
