Just got my Koryuu in and it’s working great. I had a question regarding resolution switching – I have it hooked into a Trinitron (only component + composite), and when resolution changes happen (like in Resident Evil 2 for N64 or the menu screens in Chrono Cross), the image loses sync ever so slightly. Basically the image kinda jitters a little bit for a second before the TV locks in again. I assume that’s expected behavior? Seems to be the same on a Panasonic set as well. It’s not a huge deal, but curious just the same.

Is this a CRT we’re talking about? If so I’d expect only a slight “jitter” as you say, at the very most. Koryuu like pretty much all modern devices is digital in nature and not simply an analogue to analogue conversion.

Yep, they’re both CRTs. I figured that was going on, that there’s at least a small processing delay in swapping resolutions. It really is a pretty small jitter overall before it locks back in, and way, way better than the delay I see with other devices when swapping from 240p to 480i. Thanks!

Also, I love the way things look on this Trinitron through the Koryuu – it really does have some serious pop to the visuals!
