      Does the Gen Lock mode on the Retrotink 5x have the same low-lag benefit as Frame Lock with the benefit of no drops on resolution switch?

        No, Genlock is just a different method of frame locking. Use one or the other whichever works best for you and use buffer if you need to play games that change resolutions.

          So it’s a more stable Frame Lock?

          Both seem recommended for lowest lag gameplay from what I’ve read.

          Although, Frame Lock has given me random dropouts rarely and Master System games with the SMS Converter II for Mega Drive don’t work in Frame Lock
