      hello.

      i have a pal snes console with switchless mod connect to full-hd tv with rgb cable and retrotink2x-scart converter.

      in 50hz mode no problems, but in 60hz mode no picture.

      i have tested the rgb cable on an older hd-ready tv with rgb socket in 60hz mode and it works fine.

      what is the problem?

        What kind of switchless mod was it do you know? Where was it from and when was it installed?

          the switchless mod is from the german modder “wolfsoft”.

          i think it is this one, but for a pal snes console: https://wolfsoft.de/wordpress/?p=686

          the rgb cable is a 21-pin connector and also from “wolfsoft” but circa 30 years old.

            Best guess is the timings are confusing your HDTV, as the RetroTINK SCART is just a line doubler it cannot change refresh rate. The SuperCIC you have in your SNES console does not change clock timings you are getting an off-spec 60hz signal that some TVs won’t tolerate.

              hello.

              do i have this right that the switchless mod console do not work properly with the retrotink2x-scart. is it possible to run capable with a firmware update?

              with a original 60hz super famicom console there are no problems with the retrotink2x-scart converter?

              i figured out that when the switchless mod console starting in 60hz and until then plug the rgb connector in the retrotink2x-scart converter, i get a picture in 60hz on hdtv but no sound.

              there are any solutions for the problems?

                That’s just the best guess I have right now, it would be the TV that’s incompatible rather than the RetroTINK 2x, 2x is only a line doubler it cannot change refresh rate.

                Possible that adding a dejitter to your SNES might help too, though due to the parts shortage I’ve not been able to get any for some time.

                  hello again.

                  i have tested my setting with a “framemeister” and have no problems with it. same 50hz and 60hz mode displayed are fine.

                  why can not handle it the retrotink? what is the difference towards the framemeister?

                    Framemeister is a full frame buffer based device while RetroTINK SCART is a line doubler.
