Hello everyone,i recently made a mod on my jap sfc junior in order to use it with the ossc with the rgb cable, the mod was the one with the 3 75 ohms resistors and it worked quite well, but i have a problem, the video is losing sync constantly, when you turn on the console you see a black screen every few seconds and after a while you see the black screen every minute or so.

Do you think i will be able to fix the problem with the snes de-jitter? thanks

Do other consoles work without problems? Is it only certain line modes, with the SFC?

I think there’s enough data now to make a blanket statement that all SNES/SFC will benefit from the dejitter mod when used in conjunction with the OSSC, but it would be good to have some additional context.

I’ve tried different consoles and modes, snes pal, megadrive II and psx pal work without a problem with all modes (2x,3x,4x and 5x) but the sfc jr only works with 5x and showing a black screen every X seconds, i think that i’m gonna try the de-jitter, maybe it will fix the problem, thanks.

Does the OSSC lose sync or just the TV?

When the OSSC loses sync, the green LED will turn red. When just the TV loses sync, the green LED on the OSSC will stay green while the picture on the TV drops out.

thanks for the answer. Then it’s the tv the one that loses sync, maybe i can adjust something on the tv? should i buy the de-jitter? or its the worst scenario possible and i can do nothing?

If its the TV then you need the de-jitter mod.

Though others have fixed it by setting TX mode to DVI. https://videogameperfection.com/forums/topic/ossc-1-6-snes-on-vizio-d40u-d1/

I’ve tried the DVI mode but the result is the same, so i am gonna buy the de-jitter and see if it can fix the problem, thanks to all!
