Hello! Hope you’re all well.
I know CRT is the best way of displaying Silent Hill because it blends the dithering together nicely.
I only have HD and 4K screens now though.
I recently got an OSSC Pro (for the sync improvements) and would love some help to get the best picture possible for PS1 and PS2 games.
I have a few questions.
I understand composite is the best for PS1, does the composite add-on for the Pro do any blending to the picture?
I’ll have to use it in Scaler mode because of the resolution switching.
Are there any other tips?
I’m not very knowledgeable on this stuff so I have very little clue about what most of the stuff in the menus mean so please speak to me like I’m 12 😆
PS2 with component looks amazingly sharp, I’ve been using it mainly in scaler mode again. What’s the best settling to use for this?
I’ve noticed sometimes there’s horizontal lines on the edge of details. I’m assuming this is to do this interlacing or whatever it’s called. Doesn’t bother me really but happily hear if I’ve got it on the wrong setting.
I have a PS1, PS2 Slim, component cables, composite cables and scart adapters.
(I also have MegaDrive, GameCube, Xbox, 360, PSP and PS3 – just in case anyone has any tips for those).
Any help greatly appreciated and sorry I don’t know what I’m talking about!
Thanks
