      Hi guys!

I moded my SNES Jr. recently with the SNES THS7374 RGB bypass kit, and changed the c11 capacitor with a 470uf one. Everything goes ok the first minutes of gameplay, but, suddenly, at random times, screens goes black and snes only emits sounds. I tried resoldering and changing capacitor with no effect. What could be the problem????

I asked a friend to chip in on this, here’s what he said:-

I’ve never come across anything quite like that problem before, did he remember to isolate the underside of the amp PCB? also it’s quite strange that he still gets audio which says to me that sync must be fine otherwise the device/display would probably not even play audio unless it has locked onto sync, unless of course he has audio connected separately somehow direct to the speakers?
