      Hey everyone.

So as the title implies I’m having issues getting my stock NTSC SNES (via SCART) to keep a steady sync when going over Line2X mode.
I’ve imported FireBrandX’s optimal profiles which have 256×240 at Line4x by default. The problem is, my PC monitor will keep losing sync every 15-20 seconds. The OSSC doesn’t lose sync though. The weird part is, the capture in my OBS preview window doesn’t drop out, just my monitor. However, putting it down to line2x mode alleviates this issue but I’m curious as to why there’s a dropout on my monitor. Stranger still, outputting my PS1 at 256×240 at line 4x (1280×960) is no issue at all and I haven’t had any issue with my monitor then. Any particular reason as to why this may be?

      Thanks!

Sync jitter. SNES has a short scanline every other frame. You can google de-jitter mod to read more and get mod to fix it.

Yeah after posting this thread I had researched a little more and found that to be the culprit. I found a nice service on Ebay to send my SNES off to get the de-jitter board installed and whatnot since I have no soldering experience. Fair play.
