Guys, at first I tho it had something to do with my setup.
However after plugin my snes directly to the tv (several tvs in fact) through composite, rgb and s-video, I’m getting this image distortion.

      like a white smudge.

I’m gonna try changing the capacitors of the unit (can’t harm anyway), but do you have any idea of what could be causing the issue?

      Regards!

      UPDATE
      ———————

Just changed all caps in the board (SHVC-CPU-01) and got clear image!
I didn’t see a specific cap leaking or hurt.
Maybe the only funky ones were a 33uf and a 100uf which, upon removing them, had the smd plastic part break. So maybe one of them could have been corroded.

        is it a 1-chip console?

no no no no, quite the opposite.
          Its a SHVC-CPU-01.
First gen, independent soundboard, lovely looking not-yellowing carcas but not-so-lovely looking video output tho.

I saw your update, but I had an Amiga 600 which did the same before refusing to work, and that turned out to be a cap failure, even though none seemed to be leaking.
