Hi there i have a 50 Inch LG TV and the OSSC plays perfectly with all my consoles in x4 mode but i have a sound lag issue the sound seems to be way out of sync.Using the TV’s sound is fine just the soundbar that seems off i am using a optical cable 🙁
Is there a fix for this i don’t mind too much just wondering if i setup my equipment wrong 🙂
Thanks
Joe
So it sounds like you have the OSSC connected to your TV, then you have your TV audio configured for an external speaker, and the soundbar connected via TOSLINK. There shouldn’t be any lag with this configuration, but your TV might be bugged. Do you have the latest firmware for your TV installed? Do you also have your TV in Game Mode?
If you’re still running into issues, try connecting your soundbar via RCA/3.5mm (if your TV and soundbar support them). If that still doesn’t resolve the issue, you may want to track down an HDMI audio breakout box, and then connect your soundbar to that.
Lastly, if you have the budget and space, you could always buy a home theater system; that would definitely eliminate any audio lag your TV is introducing (by bypassing the TV’s audio altogether).
