I am trying to get rid of a strange artefact I have on the characters on the picture on my Enterprise connected to my OSSC. But I do not really know where to start changing the settings. A bit of a OSSC noob … 🙂

I am running the latest firmware and default settings.

I have recorded a small video that shows the problem. It is a kind of dithering of the characters.

      Video of error.

The specs of the picture it outputs is here.

      Any suggestions is highly appreciated.

Looks like sync jitter perhaps, what kind of cable are you using to connect? (I’m not familiar with Enterprise at all, other than of course NCC-1701 🙂 )

I am using this RGB to scart cable.

There is a bit of info on the output of the EP here. It is in Hungarian but translates easily in Chrome.

Thank you … and not least … Live Long and Prosper 🙂

            I think I found the solution 🙂

I turned “Allow upsample2x” ON (default is off) in Sampling opt. and that has almost completely removed the jittering.

              Hmm, I didn’t think that affected 288p.

                The Enterprise outputs 312-p.

So far the settings seems to have helped with the problem.

That’s because OSSC includes non-visible portions of the image in that calculation too. 312p is expected on OSSCs LCD for a 288p signal.
