Hi, I bought several SCART cables from http://www.retrogamingcables.co.uk (4 PACKAPUNCH cables for Playstation 1, Playstation 2, Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis 2 for USA and each says “Compatible with OSSC” in the description, so I assume the cables aren’t the problem), but when I power on the OSSC, my TV screen has a grey rectangle with a gradient going from black to white.

I got the remote control to work with the OSSC, but I guess I’m not sure what to press to get the game consoles set up to work. My TV: Sony XBR49X900F. OSSC firmware is 0.81a and I’m using an HDMI cable to plug into the TV if that helps.

      Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thank you, pressing the left round button on the OSSC got the games to display. Now I just have to get used to changing the other settings.

Congratulations! Your OSSC works with your monitor :). Now you need to tell it which input to start looking at. If you have the SCART connected, you should probably press the “1” key on the remote to tell is to look at the AV1 input, and to expect an RGBS signal. There are some advanced tweaks you can do; take a look here: http://junkerhq.net/xrgb/index.php?title=OSSC#Introduction

For absolute best visual results, see FBX’s optimization recommendations, and start setting up some profiles. 🙂
