I’m getting a visual noise that almost looks like CRT static with my OSSC. It’s mainly noticeable on still screens (for example after pausing in Super Mario 64). It’s only visible on the actual display, not from my capture card footage.
I’ve tried both generic and optimized settings and it’s still present regardless. I am using high quality cables from Retrovision.

I’ve tried to record the issue with my phone, hopefully you can see what I mean (it’s much more noticeable in person): https://streamable.com/1s9gui

Any ideas on what the issue could be?

What kind of display is it you are using?

          A 1080p IPS monitor, specifically a BenQ MOBIUZ EX2510.

Same effect at all multiplication modes?, does it appear on the test screen?

Yeah, the video I recorded was at Line4X but it’s also visible on the other modes.

The test screen doesn’t have the static, at least not from what I can see.

I looked a bit more into this topic and some people said that the visual noise/static is normal in some N64 games?
                Can anyone confirm/deny this?

Possibly, I mean there’s no such thing as “perfect” analogue RGB, what kind of RGB mod do you have?

It’s Tim Worthington’s N64RGB with de-blur. The noise only seems to appear with certain backgrounds in certain games, and if I disable the game’s anti-aliasing via a patch it disappears completely. I guess I’ll dismiss it as normal for now unless someone says otherwise. It’s not too noticeable in any case and doesn’t seem to appear with other consoles (although N64 is the only 240p console I’ve tried so far).
