All Commodore chips are original, only all electrolytic capacitors are replaced and voltage regulators are replaced.
Kind regards,
Andreas
Hi @buckoa51 and @thecorfiot.
About the temperature of the voltage regulator on RF replacement:
I checked the +9V UNREG voltage (which is supplied on PIN 1 at the RF-Modulator on longboards):
On ASSY 250407 and ASSY 250425 the same results.
The voltage is about 12.5 V. See the following picture:
http://www.badgetracker.de/c64/rf-replacement/assy250407-9v-unregulated.png
After checking the LM1117 datasheet, the maximum input voltage is 20V, the recommended voltage is 15V, so this should be ok. Maybe this is normal, that the voltage regulator gets hot.
I use an Electroware PSU C64 B/EU (maybe this is an older version with 2.0A on 5 V DC)
I never had a problem until now with this.
Thanks for your replies until now.
Kind regards,
Andreas
Hi @buckoa51 and @thecorfiot.

I will test the next days the RF replacement on ASSY 250407, the pictures above are from ASSY 250425.
Pictures of the installation will follow in a few days.
Kind regards,
Andreas
