Hi,
Thanks for the replies but I’m fairly sure that it’s as BuckoA51 suggested, the panasonic tv just doesn’t like the signal. It seems to work ok through my samsung monitor and it works fine through an external HDMI scaler as well.
Hi MrTomFTW,
It’s a +2 grey model as well actually. I use one of those retro computer shack RGB scart cables but I bought it a few years ago.
I don’t think my speccy has had any work done on it in that regard though (I could be wrong). I inherited in from a friend nearly a decade ago, who I think had had it from when it was new. The only thing I’ve done with it is fix the pause button sticking issue and replaced the drive belts on the datasette.
Thanks for the response. I might have a go at moddifying the scart cable this weekend. I’m fairly new to soldering but if it’s easy to do I’ll probably be alright.
Hi,
The OSSC displays AV1: RGBS 311p 15.55 Mhz 50.00hz.
I’ve had some luck running the OSSC through my old cheapo upscaler, I can get a picture from that but not from HDMI plugged directly to the tv. It’ll do as a temporary solution but it’s doesn’t handle colours very well (a lot of greys end up looking brown) not to mention the lag.
I was considering getting a DVDO micro since they’re not massively expensive. Does anyone have any experience with them? Are they any good?
