      After installing the amp, everything is working as normal again! Any mods, feel free to delete this post as the issue wasn’t to do with the OSSC.

        Alright, just looked and I can’t see an amp? Just the VDC chip wired to the output. I don’t know if that type of mod could cause problems but I have a borti amp from when I planned on doing it myself. If I can’t solve this by tomorrow I’ll desolder these wires and install the borti.

            Something else I just considered – before today I’d been using it with my wii without problems, and the hdmi out was initially connected to a splitter powered by usb. For some reason the hdmi cable was carrying this power to the OSSC, such that I could turn off the switch and unplug the power cable and it would remain on. I stopped using the splitter for fear of this damaging the OSSC, but perhaps it had already damaged it in some way? I’m hoping this isn’t the case.
