        Sorry for long time, no reply.

        I opened up the console and didn’t see anything obviously wrong, but I’m no expert. I ended up buying another SNES console and that fixed the issue.

          After checking again, the checkerboard isn’t nearly as bad as the ‘my life in gaming’ video. It is barley visible, and looks more like columns with alternating colors. Sorry, I don’t have an HDMI capture device.

          Could only capture something on my phone on a black screen.

          I do think I can see this a little on the PVM, but extremely hard to see. I’m guessing it is the console.
