Thanks. I played around with these settings and used the luma cable, and could get nowhere. I’m going to attempt to reach out to Super G.
A little more info.
I dug out another PS1 of mine and it has the exact same issue, so I can rule out the console.
I also recorded my OSSC’s display in slow-motion with my phone when I power on the PS1, and it flashes random resolutions on the screen so fast. So fast, I had the use slo-mo in order to actually capture more than one of them. The resolutions it displays can be pretty random. Here’s one example I recorded: IMG_0259.TRIM.mp4
Thanks. I played around with different values for the H-sync tolerance, but couldn’t get anything.
One thing I’ll add here is that the behavior in my original post is from the luma cable. When I use the c-sync cable, the OSSC display briefly flashes “AV1: RGBS 311p. 15.73kHz 50.50Hz” for maybe half a second, then switches to “no sync”. The screen does change from the gradient screen to a black screen. There is no sound at all with the c-sync cable.
Thank you very much.
Ah, thanks! I had looked all over the place for a way to do it and couldn’t find it, and also it’s not in the quick start guide located at https://videogameperfection.com/products/open-source-converter/. Is there a newer version of the manual/guide available?
