@TheCorfiot: you are absolutely right – regulary you wont do it, but I did because I got the image output with wrong colors, there I noticed when turning it clockwise/counterclockwise it gives me the correct image at a special position.
But! I now noticed that you need a little bit more “force” when plugging in the cable into the jack… then it gets a part of a millimeter deeper into the jack.
Now I have no longer the problem with the unsharp image and I get perfect sound – but… this is how the image now looks like, crisp and sharp and… pink: http://screenshooters.de/up/comp-pink.jpeg
Edit: FIXED! Got the tool for applying color-palettes and found a fitting one!
Holy sh*t, this was a hard way 😉 – works now like a charm, many thanks for your help!
As far as I can, yes – I am using grounding points 3 and 5. Cant use the others, as there are no corresponding points at the board – should I try and connect the other grounding points by using a wire with ground?
Image noise / blurry / colour problem – a bit of everything.
I took some photos to show, as I have noticed that there is something else not correct: if I twist the plug of the component cable when it’s inside the jack, the screen changes also the color tint.
These images show how it looks like without having the plug turned a bit to the left or right:
Image out of Component mod without anything plugged in into the AV-Port:

http://screenshooters.de/up/CompositeModwithoutAVTwist35mmJack.JPEGImage out of Component mod with a cable plugged in into the AV-Port:
http://screenshooters.de/up/CompositeMod_with_AV_Twist35mmJack.JPEGThere is no change at the image out of the AV-Port of the C64, it is always good – with or without having the cable plugged into the Component Mod, also the color doesn’t change.
I took an Video-Cable and tried it, but once I have it plugged in and switched on the C64 the image quality is really poor – if I unplug the video-cable all is fine.
Note: I’ve tried two cables, happens with both – if I use just the component mod all is fine, if I just use the cables at the Video-Out all is fine.
Is there any special cable needed?
