@palette: for someone who likes scanlines, can I ask you what’s the best video mode, with a 1440p monitor? For example does a CAPCOM fighter on the Saturn look better in Line3x or Line4x?
I remember my previous LG 4K monitor looked great in optim. Line2x and Line4x, while in Line3x and 5x scanlines came out super thin, which I didn’t really like.
Also did you ever try interlaced contents on your monitor, with the OSSC set to Line2x bob deinterlace? We know IPS monitors tend to suffer from temporary image retention, with flickery 480i graphics (Virtua Fighter 2 on the Saturn, for example, as well as Ridge Racer V on the PS2), but there’s not much knowledge, when it comes to VA/AMVA display like yours.
