Hi all, I want to replace my 2013 Panasonic plasma (TX-P50GT60) since despite being perfectly compatible with all the consoles (included 1-CHIP Super Famicom and NESRGB) it doesn’t display any image with Omega MVS and doesn’t work at all in x3,x4 and x5 OSSC modes.

As far as I have understood LG OLED models sold in Europe seem to have a good compatibility with OSSC… Now I’m oriented towards 55″ 55C8PLA model (2018 C8 series). In a recent article by eurogamer.net, the C8 is reported to be “fully compatible” with OSSC -> https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2018-10-15-best-2018-4k-tvs-for-hdr-gaming-7009… But before spending 1600 Euros it would be nice to obtain more information about this model OSSC compatibility.

Forum user Das Man wrote some posts before he actually owns this tv and mentions he experienced some dropping signal issues in 5x mode with SNES and NESRGB in 3x mode, probably due to a bad HDMI cable… Dear Das Man, have you tried with other cables? Can you give us a full OSSC compatibility report on this C8 tv? Do all the systems work flawlessly in 2x mode? Have you tried it with Neo Geo? (It’s supposed to work since the tv accepts multiline modes, but you never can tell…) I guess it’s important to know as much as possible about this model since it’s relatively affordable and according to online reviews works beautifully with films and video content in general.

I want to report also I recently bought a TCL 55DC766 (latest TCL model sold in Europe) thinking TCL panels were the most compatible and cheap and that European models mounted the same panels as US models… Well, I knew things were not supposed to be exactly the same from the beginning, but I didn’t find anything specific on the subject (read, European TCLs OSSC reports) so I decided to give it a try anyway…Unfortunately this model is NOT COMPATIBLE with SFC and NESRGB…I had dropping signal issues even with JAP Mega Drive… Neo Geo worked well, but who cares, i returned it…Beware!

    Thanks for attention.
