So, I’m back with a CPU-60 Wii. The last one with GameCube Backwards compatibility – and after I hacked it to get the 240p TestSuite to work, I can say this:

The last generation Wii has in terms of picture quality the exact same quality as the first Wii does. So it also has the haloing and yes this time I ordered a second component cable too, both Wiis with both cables have the same outcome. There is that “ghost pixel” stuff around everything (especially when looking ta the sharp-test pattern in the 240p TestSuite

Not… the OSSC can’t have the problem since none of the other consoles has it, and the XBox is on the same port and doesn’t suffer from the same problem, so it can’t be the component port either.

What I did see is that the newer revisions seems to have a brighter picture, but that is about it. Brighter isn’t better picture quality however.

I wonder what the NTSC department has to say, since both of my Wii models are PAL in 480p mode. There has to be someone on this board with a Wii and a Perfect Pixel-Fetish! lol

    Anyone? 😛
