A Triad will work just fine, it’s overkill really. OSSC shouldn’t be susceptible to noisy PSUs since it’s a more modern device, but of course other things on the same power strip could be.
The key thing is the voltage, always check that it’s 5 volts DC. If you get the rest wrong you won’t damage the device (though obviously don’t leave it powered on like this).
Wrong polarity (centre negative instead of positive) – Won’t power up
Too low amps – May reset or crash, especially when using 5x output mode.
Too high amps – Doesn’t affect anything (just means you have a bigger or more expensive PSU for nothing)
Wrong barrel size – Won’t physically fit or won’t power up
Too low voltage – Won’t power up.
AC instead of DC – Can potentially damage OSSC (AC to AC adapters are rare, though Nintendo are known to have used them in Europe for example)
Too high voltage – Can potentially damage OSSC
