Hi @mrlb, yes this is a problem I’m experiencing with the firmware version 1.8. Sorry not for replying sooner but I think I’ve been on v1.7 for the last year or so and not noticed this problem till now.
The hi-res mode can’t be switched off if the input is 480p or 576p and it creates a resolution and aspect ratio my capture card and TV don’t work with. Trouble is this firmware release has fixed the stability problems I’ve had before now, particularly with 576i input. And the v1.8 is described as “Bug fixes related to sync stability.” It’s a bit of a shame that the v1.8 was released without checking 480p passthrough which was the main selling point for the 2xM. I put this problem onto the retrotink discord “bug-reports” page so will see if there’s much respone there…
