Are you in the USA? I think S-video was a mostly USA thing. I bought this cable from vendor in USA:

A lot of people add a 300 Ω resistor to some pin on the s-video cable to somehow improve video quality on LCDs. I don’t know the details. I don’t know if this is beneficial for the Koryuu or not. The cable I purchased from 8-bit classics has the resistor.
