I have an ossc 1.6 that I’ve had for a couple of years now. I haven’t used it for a while but got it out the other day and I’m getting artifacts and tearing.

      https://1drv.ms/v/s!AlxYWxW6UVwdtZsPDYdFcw34UszADQ

There appear to be a definite lag, and when playing sega rally there is a horizontal tear at the area where the artifacts are appearing.

I was on firmware 0.86. I tried updating to 0.90.

I’ve tried with both the sega Saturn and amiga 1200 via RGB scary, and also the amiga via VGA. Same artifacts in the same place.

      Any ideas?

      Thanks.

Have you tried a different display and replacing the HDMI cable?

          Cheers Bucko.

I don’t have another display, but I did have other cables. Same issue. But while I was cable fiddling I decided to look at my setup. I’d pulled the HDMI cable out of my PS3. The other cable was pulled out of a MiSTer. They were both plugged into an HDMI switch (one of these https://www.currys.co.uk/products/sandstrom-shdsw18-5port-hdmi-switch-box-10175043.html)

So the next thing to try was to go straight into the TV. It seems to work fine, and no issues with the OSSC.

I guess I’ll have to get to cable swapping, or find a better HDMI switch.

So this can be flagged as resolved, and thanks for your help.

Glad you figured it out. That’s quite unlucky as usually HDMI switches don’t have any problems with OSSC.

Yeah, the test screen shows fine. Also I tried it with a IGS PGM and that works fine through the switch too.
