I hooked up my original XBOX to the Retrotink using 3 different cables: one original composite cable and two 3rd party cables. On any of these cables I get a weird artifact in the majority of my frames (note: not all).

      Check the screenshot: https://snag.gy/xzr8RC.jpg

      Any ideas on this?

I’m not sure, but that reminds me of the closed captioning data on line 21.

Side question: is there any reason you’re using composite instead of component? You can get a component cable for $8 shipped on eBay or $9 on Amazon.

The original cable is composite. The 3rd party cables are s-video and component.

But Mike Chi responded on Twitter, which answers my question: https://twitter.com/chaozznl/status/1102193084757102592
