Hello everyone.
Pretty much as the title says. I can get Line 2x, 3x and 4x to work on my setup, but no luck with 5x.
I’m not sure if it’s just not compatible or I don’t know what I’m doing. Mostly likely my ignorance but I at least want to give it a complete attempt before I write it off as not possible.
I’m hoping I might get some useful suggestions I can try, then I will report my findings back here. Here is what I have done so far.
I followed some of the tips I found on these 2 pages.

When I tried Line x5 the screen goes black but doesn’t say anything about being ‘out of range’. It also does not auto switch back to my default monitor input which is normally what happens when I upset the balance. It just sits there… dark.. brooding.. mocking me!
Anyway, my settings tried were set to 1920×1080 output size. Generic 4:3, 320:240 optim and 256×240 optim(4:3 & 8:7). All same black screen. I tried using the settings from the links I posted but they only made it go out of range in the 320 and 256 modes.
So that’s where I’m at.
I tested using a SNES 1-Chip 02 with scart out and a RGB modded AV Famicom with scart out.
My setup is:
Console->Scart Cable->OSSC 1.6->HDMI Cable->ASUS VG248QE Monitor
If needed I can try testing with a different console.
I have available Genesis US, Mega Drive J, Saturn J, Turbo Grafx US, Duo-R J, PSX1 J, PSX2 US.
If you need more info, please let me know. Thank you in advance!
Andy
