Hello everybody,
I recently purchased the OSCC and when I first powered it some smoke came out of the device. So I immediately turned it off. Of course, I instantly knew that I screwed up, hooking up the unversal AC adaptor I purchased in a wrong way. I quickly corrected that and everything works fine now.
Still, I am concerned about the burnt out diode D5 especially I ask myself if it is safe to operate the device in this state. From what I gather the diode is some kind of security measure to prevent power leakage or something like that. I am not an electornics expert, but I know how to use a soldering iron, so I’d like to replace the part just to be sure.
Can anyone please direct me to a suitable replacement part?
I have done some research myself and a local electronics dealer has this:

Is that the right one? The 5V one?
Thanks for any feedback!
