Just found out, and am quite excited, about the OSSC Pro. One question I have is with regard to the future S-Video input module and the Commodore 64. Currently one method of displaying C64 S-video via an OSSC is to daisy chain : RetroTink-2X (pass-thru mode) => VGA Adapter => OSSC. However, it is well documented that this does result in pixel jitter (albeit mild in my experience). Because of this the current recommendation is : RetroTink-2X => S-Video to Component Convertor => OSSC. The latter of these options results in a spaghetti junction of cables and boxes and is far from convenient/ideal.

So, my question is will the OSSC Pro + S-video module work with C64 S-video with no pixel jitter?

Well, given that OSSC Pro hardware is not finalised and the S-video add on is only hypothetical I don’t think anyone can realistically answer that question right now.

However, we do know that the Koryuu works with the OSSC pro.

Yeah, sorry, I guessed this was rather a hypothetical question. I guess I was hoping you’d say that there was an objective with the OSSC Pro development to have it work well with C64 S-video.

I’m certainly out of touch as I wasn’t aware of the Koryuu. Does this only support PAL60? No NTSC support?

The Koryuu should support most everything 15kHz–240p/288p/480i/576i, 50Hz, 60Hz, PAL60. (I think it’s unlikely that it supports 480p@30Hz or 576p@25Hz.)

Koryuu fully supports both PAL and NTSC. Not sure about 30hz or 25hz as I’ve nothing that outputs those.

Thanks for the information guys – would be useful to have that info on the shop page. I’ll certainly keep the Koryuu in mind for the future.
