I know the hardware of the OSSC Pro is a bit more powerful than the DEXX vd isl (especially iirc the on-board FPGA is stronger than the Cyclone-V of the DE10-Nano) so I imagine some of the improvements in later firmwares are not compatible, but I am curious if itd be possible to port some of the improvements since version 0.73 of the DEXX vd isl and OSSC Pro to the DeXX vd isl. I totally understand if it’s actually not possible, I just thought I’d ask. Also I think at some point I really should 3D model a case for the DEXX since it’s my favorite scaler/line multiplier of mine to use.

It should be possible to port most of the later updates (actually DE10-Nano’s FPGA has more resources/features in general). While the firmware has been developed with the potential support in mind, it always needs some effort integrating and testing which is why it hasn’t been made regularly with every release. I’ll put that on my todo list anyway so that it could materialize in perhaps 1-2 months.
