      Hello,

Since the SVS is soon going to be restocked, I would like to ask whether the HD15 input of the OSSC Pro would natively support YPbPr and RGBs without the need of another adapter; the wiki says “For video level c-sync only. Sync is connected to HD-15 pin 4 via a custom adapter / cable” and “Use suitable adapter / cable”, which leads me to believe that I would not be able to simply connect the HD15 output of the SVS directly into the OSSC Pro and have a signal, but I would rather have proper confirmation.

This support through the HD15 port would be ideal, but not crucial, since I plan on getting proper RGB-Scart and YPbPr-RCA outputs as well and the VGA output module would be, at least for the foreseeable future, only for my Dreamcast, which I play at 480p, making it already incompatible with my CRTs, defeating the purpose of a signal splitter for this console to begin with, but it would open the door for dual output to the OSSC Pro and a future PC CRT monitor.

As I understand the SVS repurposes two pins on the VGA port for serial communication. These pins are used for audio on the Morph and I don’t believe they are even connected on the OSSC Pro. He designed the SVS for RetroTINK and didn’t even ask us or PixelFX. It should really be possible to use the USB with some kind of adapter cable but you might simply want to wait and see what the Infinity Switch is like (although no idea when that is actually coming out) as OSSC Pro has the USB port that should be able to communicate with this switch just fine.

I have had my eye on the Infinity Switch for some time, but there haven’t been any news about it and I would like to have something of higher quality than the cheap Amazon/Aliexpress switches that I currently have. Since the HD15 connector is only a bonys and not a requirement for me, I’ll just -try to- get other output modules.

Fingers crossed for an announcement on the Infinity Switch.

YPbPr and RGBs on AV3 are supported via a suitable cable / passive 3xRCA-HD15 adapter as wiki says.

Yes, but that’s why I’m asking, I do not know whether the HD15 output module on the SVS would count as that “adapter” and there doesn’t seem to be any information online to make a definitive statement. My guess is that it would not work and that the RGB-Scart output module would need to be connected to an adapter and then into the OSSC Pro.

YPbPr connection should be standard but RGBs has ambiguity (which pin, which level?).
