I think I broke my OSSC?

      Hi!

I was working on an old 1970s ‘TV Game’ thing, trying to get composite-out from it.

I had it connected to my OSSC via my Koryuu.  Seemed to work for an instant, then died.

From then on, I couldn’t get the Koryuu’s test pattern to appear on AV2 on my OSSC.

I thought I’d broken the Koryuu, but I still see its test pattern (albeit in mono) if I connect the G line from it directly to a TV’s composite input.

So it seems I’ve fried the AV2 input on my OSSC.

RGB SCART on AV1 and the VGA port still seem fine.  Any tips on where I should poke on the board to figure out what I need to fix, or anyone done something similar and managed to fix it?  Any advice welcome!

      Cheers!

It’s quite unusual that AV1 works but AV2 doesn’t since both go thru THS7353 video amp/mux. That chip even has somewhat good ESD protection and I haven’t heard many cases of it getting damaged. Anyway, I’d study the signal path from Y to the chip and check all solder joints and parts are fine. If that is the case, then replacing THS7353 should fix the issue.
