Recently, I bought an OSSC from VGP. I have firmware 1.12a, and an Intellivision with lumacode installed.
I know the Lumacode in my Intellivision works as I’ve used it with the RGB2HDMI converter… though it’s a little messy with that and the audio embedder as well.
I’ve read / heard that the OSSC works with lumacode on the Intellivision, but I’ve not had any luck getting it to work. Would anyone here be able to help me with this at all?
Thanks in advance.
October 2, 2025 at 3:49 PM #67333That’s right.
What happens when you try to use lumacode just can never get a picture? Make sure you’ve set everything up according to https://junkerhq.net/xrgb/index.php?title=OSSC_Pro#Lumacode
October 2, 2025 at 3:59 PM #67334It’s not in sync.
See, it says on that page you linked me to…
“C64: Lumacode decoding enabled for C64.
Spectrum: Lumacode decoding enabled for ZX Spectrum.
Coleco / MSX: Lumacode decoding enabled for Colecovision / MSX1.
NES: Lumacode decoding enabled for NES. Use “SNES 256col” sampling preset.
Atari GTIA: Lumacode decoding enabled for Atari 8bit home computers. Use Line3x/4x/6x-320col mode with H. samplerate of 456.
Atari VCS: Lumacode decoding enabled for Atari 2600 (VCS). Use Line4x-320col mode with H. samplerate of 456.”But no mention of the Intellivision there. Yet I’ve read it does support Intellivision, if you use one of those options.
However, I’ve gone through all those different console / computer options, but I only sort of see the Intellivision, coming through all white, or green and on and off, and not clear as well.

October 2, 2025 at 11:42 PM #67336I thought it was the Coleco/MSX preset that was used. Big fat doobies.
October 3, 2025 at 12:26 PM #67340Intellivision support has not been added yet and any official material should not claim so. I recall it was planned to be included at the same time as other supported systems but no documentation of Lumacode color encoding was then available which still seems to be the case.
October 3, 2025 at 12:40 PM #67341Thanks for letting me know. I spent ages again last night trying to get it to work.
I hope they do update the firmware to include the Intellivision, but if it’s not been by now, I guess it’s probably not going to happen.
October 12, 2025 at 9:34 AM #67439I have made some updates which should make it possible to support Intellivision, VIC-20 and Odyssey II/G7000 in future. I’m not sure if Lumacode is yet available for all of these but at least the timing details are listed in related signal generator source. Eventually someone will need to confirm if the palette presets are correct, but that gets easier when it’s also possible to load custom palettes from SD.
October 12, 2025 at 11:59 AM #67441Forgive my ignorance, what do I do here to get that to work? Should I manually put settings into the OSSC? (and if so, on which part). Or is that on a firmware update?
